Transforming Portfolio Data into Strategic Information

LookAhead Laboratory

In this two-day course, use Strategic Analytics' LookAhead™ software to begin producing scenario-based forecasts—using your vintage-level portfolio performance data. Gain an introductory understanding of Dual-time Dynamics, the analytic technology at the heart of LookAhead software.

During the Lab you will begin to create a baseline forecast for your portfolio and learn how that forecast changes with different scenarios for future economic growth, alternative marketing plans, and impacts from various management actions. You will take an evaluation copy of LookAhead software with you so that you may further explore different scenarios and discuss them with your colleagues after the Lab.

The Lab is an ideal introduction to new users and potential licensees of LookAhead-based products and services.

In the LookAhead Laboratory you will:

  • Test-drive the latest technology in retail lending portfolio analytics using your portfolio data.
  • Tune in to the key drivers present in your portfolio. Apply Dual-time Dynamics to quantify these drivers and their impact on delinquency, losses, attrition, and other important variables.
  • Start forecasting. Formulate and run scenarios to see the impact of future trends and actions. Take your forecast results home for discussion and insight. Your evaluation copy of LookAhead software allows you to change your assumptions after the Lab.

Join your peers in the retail lending industry for this hands-on course led by our expert instructors. Whether you use LookAhead software at your institution or subscribe to services powered by the technology, the Laboratory is your chance to use this leading-edge software to gain new insights into your Portfolio.

We need to receive your data no later than three weeks prior to the LookAhead Laboratory. This will allow us sufficient time to review your data so that it loads properly into LookAhead and to make sure you have appropriate segmentation and adequate sample size. If you are unable to forward your data in time, we will arrange for you to use our demo data for the Lab.

Successful computing at the Lab requires the following minimum laptop configuration: Windows® 2000™ or later operating system with an Intel® Pentium® 4™ or equivalent processor and 500 MB of RAM (1 GB is preferred). Also required is a USB port and an installed copy of Microsoft® Excel™ 2000 or later spreadsheet software for data manipulation purposes. Adobe® Reader® software (a free download) is used to access documentation during the course.
