Strategic Analytics offers innovative analytical software and services that enable retail lenders to build and manage more profitable and less volatile loan portfolios.

Strategic Analytics is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Agile software team to help develop Web-based financial analysis applications. This position will be responsible for participating in all stages of the software development including analyzing, designing, programming, debugging, and modifying software enhancements and/or new products.

This position will be located at the company's headquarters in Santa Fe, NM.

Responsibilities

  • Work with product management and the project team to identify requirements
  • Implement key software components and provide feedback and work with project lead to determine development tasks and priorities.
  • Analyze system and application architecture to ensure that all functional and non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, reliability, availability, and configurability) are met.

Requirements

  • MS in computer science or related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on Web application development experience, including:
    • Java/J2EE Framework (Core Java, Servlet, EJB, JDBC, JMS, etc)
    • Application Servers, such as GlassFish, Weblogic, WebSpehere
    • SOA and Web Service technologies (SOAP, REST)
    • Creation of XML schemas and WSDL files
  • Experience with Rich Internet Applications
  • Work with database architects to implement access to large databases
  • Experience working with Agile software methodologies (e.g., XP, SCRUM).
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to estimate and plan tasks
  • Experience with unit test tools (especially JUnit) and test-driven design
  • Experience with analytical programming

Desired Experience

  • Net experience
  • Experience with application development for Linux/UNIX
  • Experience with Eclipse or Intellij EDI a plus
