Strategic Analytics offers innovative analytical software and services that enable retail lenders to build and manage more profitable and less volatile loan portfolios.

Strategic Analytics is looking for a Java developer to join our Agile software team to help develop the next generation of our Java-based financial analysis applications. This position will be located at the company’s headquarters in Santa Fe, NM.

Required Experience

  • BS in computer science or related field
  • 3-5 years of hands-on Java coding experience, including:
    • Java 1.6 features (including multi-threading)
    • File system management objects
    • In-depth knowledge of collections
    • Threading
    • Annotations
  • XML experience, including:
    • SAX Parser
    • Schema Validation
  • Familiarity with Agile software methodologies (e.g., XP, SCRUM)
  • Platform experience with Windows OS
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to estimate and plan tasks

Desired Experience

  • Experience with unit test tools (especially JUnit) and test-driven design
  • Experience with application development for Linux/UNIX
  • Analytical programming experience
  • Experience with Eclipse or Intellij IDEs a plus
  • Experience with desktop application development
