Melissa M. Peterson
Director of Operations
Ms. Peterson leads Interthinx's contract negotiation and compliance process, manages the Analytics and Customer Service teams, and coordinates desktop product development.
Ms. Peterson has over 20 years of experience as a corporate attorney. As an attorney with Andrews & Kurth LLP in Houston, she represented issuers and investment banks in financings, debt and equity securities sales, mergers and acquisitions, as well as complex initial public offerings for master limited partnerships. She served as a director for a start-up company providing software for aviation support training, a city councilor, and an advisor with a business incubator. Prior to joining Interthinx, Ms. Peterson was in private practice in Santa Fe, NM where she represented individual and corporate clients in a variety of transactions and served as general counsel for a property management company.
Ms. Peterson received a B.A. from Rice University with a dual major in Legal Studies and Managerial Studies. While an undergraduate, she developed a software program for valuation of retirement benefits in structured divorce settlements. She earned her J.D. from University of Texas at Austin School of Law (with honors).
Melissa has served in a leadership capacity on many non-profit boards and civic organizations. She enjoys hiking in the mountains and playing ice hockey. |
